Khwaja Nizamuddin Obaidullah Zakani, known as Obaid Zakani, is a Persian poet, writer and satirist of the 8th century AH, who lived in the late 7th or early 8th century AH. He opened his eyes to the world in one of the functions of Qazvin. He is one of the great geniuses. He can be considered similar to the great French writer Voltaire.

Khwaja Nizamuddin Obaidullah Zakani, known as Obaid Zakani, is a Persian poet, writer and satirist of the 8th century AH, who lived in the late 7th or early 8th century AH. He opened his eyes to the world in one of the functions of Qazvin. The reason why he is famous as Zakani is because he is related to the Zakan family, who were a branch of "Bani Khafajah Arabs" and after immigrating to Iran, they went and settled near Rezen in Hamedan.

He studied in Qazvin and grew up in this city and stayed in this city until the end of his life. In his family, two branches were more famous than the others, the first branch which, according to Hamdallah Mostofi (Ubaid's contemporary and compatriot), were people of sensible and transferable knowledge, and the second branch, which this historian calls Arbab al-Sudur (that is, ministers and divans).

Hamdullah Mostofi mentions Obaid as Nizamuddin Obaidullah Zakani and considers him to be from the second branch. In his writings, Obeid mentioned several of his kings and contemporaries, such as Alaa al-Din Muhammad, Shah Sheikh Abul Hasan Anju, Rukn al-Din Abd al-Malik, the minister of Sultan Uwais Jalairi, and Shah Shuja Mozafari. He is one of the great geniuses. He can be considered similar to the great French writer Voltaire.
